While going through the pain of not knowing what was wrong
with my mother from the very beginning to the realization
that I was losing the greatest love I have ever known.
My son would call me several times each and every day
to see how I was doing and to tell me that he loved me,
that he cared, was there to support me. Words cannot
express how much that meant and how it saved my life
while I was trying to save the life of my beautiful mother.

Now meet the young man whom I love so much and was blessed to adopt on December 4, 1989. Born April 15, 1974 at 5:54 p.m. in Cook County within the city of Evanston, Illinois to his mother, Angela at 21 years old. The young man I call my son who has integrity, compassion, forgiveness, unconditional love, loyalty and so much more... including a multitude of talents.
He works as manager of the Radiology Department in California for a major hospital and proceeds to create beautiful music, completely solo, playing all the instruments, singing and composing all himself.

Chris' Musical Biography
Singer / Songwriter Qwest (real name Chris Williams) has singing in his blood. His Grandfather was in a mens quartet and church choir and his Mother was an International Award winning singer. Raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, Qwest was exposed to a variety of cultures and music at an early age, providing fertile ground for a life of music to grow. In High School, he was the drummer and singer in a band and played all around LA including the historic Whiskey a go-go. In College, Qwest got introduced to the LA club scene and soon began DJing. Digging through crates of records is what really made him appreciate the Funk, Jazz, and Soul of the 70's, and provided a template for his sound to come. He bought a sampler and tried to duplicate the feeling that those old records gave him, while putting his own stamp on it. He started producing tracks for local hip-hop acts and remixing established ones, while developing a unique take on the marriage of underground hip hop and soul. Tired of depending on others he began to write his own songs. Drawing from his vintage inspiration, Qwest developed an updated version and for the first time was able to put into song the things going on in his life and in his head. Whether he is remixing other artists or producing his own tracks nothing can escape the Qwest treatment. His spin on life injects his writing and performance with a positive vibe which spreads through those who hear it, instantly making them more funky in the process. In a world of people striving to be something, Qwest is already who he wants to be, now content to share it with world.
