i need to see you every day
the short time i spend with you enlivens my body and spirit
i bask in your radiant presence
your daily embrace warms me more pleasantly than morning tea
the longer i am with you the more i want to stay
i realize others love and need you too
i know you caress other's skin
you draw me irresistibly to you
promise me you will be there in the morning
lover put away your jealous thoughts
how can you doubt that you stole my love and entire being
you must know that you inspired this poem
harmless flirtation has evolved into a true love affair
so should it surprise you when i tell you
the name of your rival is the sun?
and you assumed my husband possessed me
