Nadja: Scary Story 2

While camping at El Capitan Beach, we drew words from a hat and had to construct a 'scary' story
Serpent - Boy Scout - Cool - Snap - Snakes - Bloody Cheese - Dead Man - Blood

Damian was an unusual child.  He was born with a blood-colored birthmark on the back of his head... but no one really saw it after his black hair grew thicker and longer.  He became a boy scout because he thought that during camping he might be able to see some snakes.  He liked the cool, muscled smoothness of them.  He loved snakes!  But, he was not allowed to come back to the scouts after that first terror-filled trip.  Everyone thought he had planned what happened...

Everyone had noticed his strange behavior in the woods - he would jump every time he heard a twig snap or leaves and grass rustling.  He would run to the source and start looking for snakes.  He was so obsessed with them that he would dream of snakes and serpents screaming out "Serpent!" in his sleep and awakening the whole scout troupe.  This happened three times and finally he was seen supposedly sleep-walking and rummaging through the tent with their food supplies... till he was led back to bed by the furious and puzzled scout master.  When the other scout masters went for breakfast supplies, he was heard screaming and flailing his arms, unable to speak - all the while pointing to the food tent.

The sheriff said it was a sick vagrant, just an old hobo that had wandered into the food tent where the dead man was found strangled by a snake in his sleep.  But even the sheriff did not have a clue... about the bloody cheese!
