In September of 1993 I traveled across 22 states over a period of four months with a tent trailer and two cats in tow while visiting many famous places: Kennedy Space Center, Mount Rushmore, Biosphere, Carolina, New Orleans, Lincoln's Cabin, Virginia plantations, Kentucky.
In September of 1991 I also, backpacked seven days into the back country of Bishop, California where we camped by a lake and didn't see people but found beauty, peace and serenity. A backpacking adventure with nothing but a tent and what you can carry on your back. Stopped off in Bishop, refueled by having breakfast and off for an adventure into the beautfy of the backwoods.
In June of 1994 I traveled by bicycle from Colorado to Florida in 42 days, pedaling 2070 miles, sleeping in a tent and enjoying the
experience of the people met.
This was a terrific experience that I will not ever forget. Met many people following the same Bikecentenial road maps which guide you across the United States, from the east coast to the west coast and on up to Alaska.

In July of 1998 I was invited bungee jumping once in my life. I did it. What a terrifying experience that was. We hiked back into the mountains of Pasadena to a mysterious place called the bridge to nowhere. Well, after much coaxing I finally left the bridge and did it! Probably the only thing I've done in my life that I didn't find enjoyable but I did want to experience and experience it I did.
October of 1994 is when I spent a winter in Breckenridge, Colorado I had the opportunity to do some cross-country skiing which was a beautiful experience in the state of Colorado. I built a warming hut when volunteering at Lake Dillon, Colorado for a full-season ski pass free! As you can see from the picture, some of the skiing was done in a horizontal position.

December of 1994 while in Breckenridge, Colorado I voluntered for the "Adaptive Ski Program" involving the physically challenged. This experience was so very rewarding and put my life in perspective. The people had different ailments derived from Muscular Dystrophy or paralyzed from a fall or accident of some type. One I remember was even legally blind and would 'catch an edge' for a turn 'on demand' or when told to. With that complete trust he would make it down the mountain. Many skied much better than I do on mono-skis or basket types, so it was also humbling and exciting.
